Circular Economy Network
Connecting with planet-conscious organisations and companies that are working on closing the loop on waste
Collaboration is vital for a successful transition to Circularity. Enaleia joins forces with certified recycling and upcycling partners who are integrating the collected marine plastic into the circular economy!
The journey of the recovered marine plastics
Towards a circular and low carbon future
Keep Sea Blue
The collected marine plastic is certificated by Keep Sea Blue through its certification program and Blockchain platform, which ensures full traceability of the material.
Healthy Seas
Healthy Seas and its partners facilitate upcycling the collected fishing nets into sustainable products, like socks and swimwear.
Ecoalf
The collected PET, like plastic bottles, is utilised by Ecoalf Foundation to be transformed into sustainable fashion products like jackets and shoes.
Gravity Wave
A part of the collected mixed plastic and fishing gear is sent to The Gravity Wave to be transformed into sustainable products, such as furniture.
Skyplast
Skyplast transforms more than 50% of the collected mixed marine plastic into plastic pellets. With this raw material, various companies can produce almost any sustainable product.
Antipollution
Antipollution provides special storage equipment for temporarily storing the collected marine plastic and used fishing gear at every operating port. Additionally, they sort the collected plastic, preparing it for recycling.
Kwale Recycling Center
Through our collaboration with the Kwale Recycling Center, the marine litter collected with our Bahari Safi project is managed and integrated into the circular economy. The Kwale Recycling Center transports and processes marine litter into valuable materials and products, such as building blocks that create affordable and sustainable houses for Kenyan communities.
